December 9

Off we went for our annual tree-cutting excursion to Sussex county. We found a tree quickly, which was good because it was a rainy cold afternoon.

December 8

Max and Ruby. I long for the days when there are no longer children in the house who want to watch this.

December 7

The trains have come out again. Lenna's getting pretty good at putting a track together.

December 6

Ah, yes, homework time in the Machado house.

December 5

Susie got this monkey hat for Maggie at the school Holiday Gift Shoppe.

December 4

Look! It's a doll head stuck to the Skatch!

December 3

I'm really  not sure what is going on here!

December 2

Susie and Becky decided to be dogs for the afternoon.

December 1

There's a family of swans at Packanack Lake this year. They clearly thought I had food for them.

November 27

Becky is acting out Sleeping Beauty here, I think.

November 26

Susie's reading has really taken off this year. And now that we have a nice lamp in the living room, the couch is a much better place to enjoy a book!

November 20

Lenna is making duck sounds with the duck lips.

November 24

We thought we'd try to get another photo before going to see Santa. Clearly Lenna was not in the mood. Nor was she happy about seeing Santa.

November 23

I was clearly still on a holiday high because I thought it would be a good project to go through all the toy bins in the dining room and make way for Christmas.

November 22

Thanksgiving morning was beautiful, so after the girls were dressed we attempted to get a Christmas card photo. It can be pretty difficult getting a 4 year old and a 2 year old to look at the camera and smile at the same time. We took a ride down to Marvin & Angie's to celebrate the holiday. All in all it was a great Thanksgiving.

November 21

Lenna getting all snuggie on the couch. She's hugging Becky's green ball; the pink one is in the shape sorter.

November 19

Becky's new Minnie Mouse outfit. She pretty much wears it every chance she gets.

November 18

Some random artwork of Becky's. She spends most afternoons coloring.

November 17

Tea parties really just never get old.

November 16

Maggie's last Thanksgiving Feast at Randall Carter! I got to serve corn and corn bread. Luckily both Maggie & Susie were in the same seating so I saw both of them.

November 15

The Randall Carter 5th Graders had their group photo taken this morning. It was cold. Lenna played on the little playground while I held the ladder for the photographer.

November 14

Becky's class finally had their Halloween party at school.

November 13

This particular toy has been in the garage for a while. After this photo was taken Lenna insisted on putting it on the couch and got frustrated that it was too big and didn't fit. Which made me remember why it was in the garage.

November 12

Lenna got the big bag of Fritos and was running away from Maggie.

November 11

And then again she still looks like a little doll baby.

November 10

All of a sudden Elena looks very long and lean. When she gets to age 4 she's not going to have any baby fat to lose.

November 9

Zayna's Cuts for Kids really has a great train table.

November 8

We woke up to a pretty blanket of snow; the warming temperatures had it all melted pretty quickly. Anthony took Maggie & Susie into New York to see the Radio City Christmas Show, compliments of Radio City after their less than good experience at the show last year. They had lunch at a diner, walked up to Central Park which was closed due to all the trees down, spent some time at FAO Schwarz (clearly the highlight of the trip) then headed down to the show. Their seats were close to the stage but off to the side. All in all they had a fabulous time.
