June 25

Lenna had a couple of rough nights sleeping so she was pretty tired. We were getting ready to take Susan to an orthodontist appointment so I let Lenna lay on the couch for a bit before we had to leave.

June 24

Someone on Brookwood was giving away this fun sand table, so we grabbed it on the way to Mass Saturday and cleaned it and set it up Sunday. The girls had a lot of fun with it. Then after dinner it was time to wish Anthony a happy 47th birthday!

June 23

This is the cutest baby bunny we've had in the yard, but I found him one morning in my garden, eating my plants! So I had to get some rather odorous spray and that has seemed to help. There's enough clover in the yard for a good 15 bunnies; he won't go hungry.

June 22

It was a bit of a cool rainy day so while the littles were napping the bigs hung out on the couch and watched a movie.

Who needs toys when you have a red plastic party cup?

June 20

The last day of school was super hot - nearly 95 so we spent the afternoon by the pool.

June 19

Nothing says yum like chocolate chip cookie dough.

June 17

We spent some time at the park for Father's Day.

June 16

Susie had her final softball game today, and was very excited to get a trophy. Then it was home to swim in the pool all afternoon.

June 15

I had a stomach bug all day so the littles entertained themselves with all the Dora toys.

June 14

It was warm after school so we spent some time outside and in the pool. Only June 14 and already Maggie has a tan and Lenna is as pale as ever.

June 13

Becky was watching a bunny out the window.

June 12

We stopped in at the annual school art show. Maggie made the lizard in Windows Art and the fish in her regular art class. Susie's birthday cake looks yummy!

Then the girls got to color in the art room - even Lenna.

June 11

Late photo for the day.

June 10

Lenna rocking Susie's boots. I love this kid.

June 9

Maggie & Susan participated in the Track & Field Jr. Olympics at Wayne Valley this morning. Maggie placed 3rd in the long jump and the softball throw! They even played the Olympic theme when the kids were up on the podium.

June 8

Beck got her hair trimmed this morning. It already looks crazy.

June 7

This is really my first time trying to grow any vegetables in a "real" garden, and I have no clue if they are growing properly or not, but they are definitely growing. The bottom are zucchini plants. I need to get some cages or stakes for the tomatoes and peppers, and probably something to try to deter the rabbits. I went out to check things this morning and there was a bunny lurking around the outside of the fence.

June 6

The girls had their final dance recitals for the year today. Lenna got to stretch with Becky's class and even got a sticker and a flower.

June 5

Becky was mad about something. Probably because she wasn't first at doing something, like opening the door.

June 4

Maggie, Susie, Lenna & Anthony all had a stomach bug on Monday, so we stayed close to home. They did feel well enough to help dust, though.

June 3

Maggie had to do a project on Essex County, NJ for school, so we spent the better part of the afternoon there, mostly at the Turtle Back Zoo with my friend Karen and her daughter Chloe. The baby prairie dog was right up against the glass - the girls were thrilled!

June 2

Maggie got Lenna to pretend to sleep on the living room couch.

June 1

One of Becky's gifts was a set of plastic veggies that can be "cut" with a plastic knife.

May 31

Happy 4th Birthday to my Becky! She said now that she is 4 she can do everything at the park including climbing the little "rock wall."

May 30

So it's the night before Becky's birthday and she breaks out in a rash. It went from zero to bad in an hour. A dose of steroids and a dose of Benadryl knocked it out for the night.

May 29

So I've actually planted a bunch of stuff in the garden - cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes, carrots, corn, pumpkin, watermelon, pepeprs and a blueberry bush. Everything seems to be taking root well; we'll see if we actually get any real growth over the next month or so. Something did eat my sunflowers!

May 28

Waiting for the annual Memorial Day parade to begin!

May 27

I forsee a lot of this in our future.

May 26

Even though the water was not quite 72 we decided it was hot enough outside to warrant a quick jump.
