Red tomatoes! I picked them when they were mostly green with some hints of red, but soft, and popped them in a paper bag with a slice of apple. Voila! Red tomatoes.

Lenna has been wearing this leotard every day since we got home.

Some more of our local flora and fauna. There's a family of turkeys roaming the neighborhood; they were on our lawn in the morning. They sound a lot like ducks. Then I found this perfectly formed tiny little ear of corn ready to be picked.

The baby bunny has gotten quite a bit bigger too and is much more shy - it runs away more quickly now. The dahlias started blooming also.

Lots of growth in the garden over the week! A nice sized pumpkin, lots of green peppers and the tomatoes are finally turning red.

Maggie, Susie, Becky and I spent the morning on the beach and Anthony took Elena to the bay. Some kids found this big crab (Maggie's hand next to it for size comparison.) In the afternoon we all climbed Old Barney.

This was the first day at the beach, and pretty much the only day we were all happy to be there as a family. Lenna had fun with the cooler of ice, Becky played in the sand, Susie went in the water with Anthony and Maggie made a friend, Emma. After this Lenna wanted nothing to do with the beach.

She's always in motion! Dr. Weiss got a new train table and a ton of new tracks and trains. Lenna was holding about 5 trains saying "too heavy!"

Another lazy Sunday, topped off with a visit to The Ice Cream Station for some ice cream and some Squishees. Lenna kept kissing her Squishee.

We spent most of the day by and in the pool on a lovely 90 degree Saturday.

Anthony took Maggie & Susie to Field Station: Dinosaurs in the morning. All proclaimed it "Awesome!" and they got some great photos of Mr. Kaplan in a velociraptor's mouth to add to the bulletin board at school.

Some more garden photos. The pumpkins finally seem to be growing, but they are up high on the fence so I have to see if I can get the vines lower so they don't fall off when they start to get heavy. The bees love the flowers. We discovered a baseball sized watermelon hiding under some leaves, and the peppers have finally flowered as well!
